This is a drawing I made for my friend as a part of Art Fight this year. Art Fight is a yearly event in which artists, split into two teams, can draw each other's original characters to gain points. In this piece for my friend, I drew two of their characters, who are witches and cousins. In their story, the youngest one (bottom) is often compared to the eldest (top) because she was a very powerful witch. Therefore, the youngest often feels like she's living in her cousin's shadow. I wanted to portray the character's emotions through the expression, posing, and dark purples in the color palette. To make this drawing, I used Ibis Paint X on my iPad.
